Initiative

Prior to beginning my studies at A&M, I spent a great deal of time involved in technical clubs, particularly robotics and ballistics (won state trebuchet contest!)

I quickly identified Geology and Computer as my favorite fields of study. Over the course of my three and a half years at A&M, I had the good fortune of getting to work on interdisciplinary research teams, take part in verifying Java's concurrency library, toy with subsurface-analyzing GPR equipment used to gauge subterranean crop health, and participate in a satellite spoofing attack+defense project.

Outside of school, I've also been involved in (and helped found) some pretty neat organizations. I'd especially like to highlight the High Altitude Balloon Club (HABC). Although this organization is primarily composed of Aerospace Engineers, it is open to any major and was an excellent opportunity for me to get hands-on experience with hardware and autonomous systems.

Accreditation, awards, and some other academic involvements are listed below in brief.
